Reduce Cost with Energy Efficiency Incentives

Sarasota County and the cities of Sarasota, North Port and Venice are helping you reduce the up front cost of switching to energy efficient alternatives for your home with several incentives. You can save up to:

$1,500 on high efficiency air conditioners and heat pumps
$750 on solar pool or solar hot water heaters
25% of the invoice cost up to $500 on gas tankless water heaters

Choosing energy efficiency improvements for your home helps to reduce energy consumption and conserve valuable resources. In turn, you’ll save money on your monthly utility bills and improve the value of your home.

To Qualify

You must be a resident of Unincorporated Sarasota County or the cities of Sarasota, North Port, or Venice.
Maximum total rebate amounts per home are $3,000 for home energy improvements; plus $500 for a comprehensive home energy audit.
Improvements must be installed by a participating contractor, if it requires a permit.
Single family detached homes are eligible for all rebate categories. Multi-family and manufactured homes are not eligible for water heaters.
Solar water heaters must be FSEC approved.
Gas tankless water heaters must be Energy Star rated.

*Because this program is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant program and by funds allocated under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, this incentive is not guaranteed to last.
